Central Florida Commuter Rail

What's There Now - A Look At Planned Station Locations

DeBary Station

The DeBary Station is to be located to the south of the intersection of Ft. Florida Avenue and the CSX rail line.  This is just west of Highway 17-92.  It is sometimes referred to as the Ft. Florida Station because of its location at this intersection, which is actually south of DeBary proper.

There is presently minimal commercial development on Highway 17-92 in the area.  The station will occupy the southeast quadrant of the Ft. Florida / rail line intersection.  To the northeast along 17-92 there is a small trailer park, Lake Villa Estates.  To the west of the rail line is the massive cooling water infrastructure for the Florida Power and Light electrical generation facility to the south on the St. Johns River.  This complex controls all the land to the immediate west of the station, and any development will be controlled by FP&L.  Across 17-92 is an access point and trail head for the Gemini Springs Conservation Area.

The single business adjacent to the station property is a Lil' Sammy's Food Mart gas station and convenience store which should stand to benefit substantially from the station construction.
